Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cheeky Parking (“Cheeky Parking”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile app, and related services.
Cheeky Parking is a community-powered app that allows users to share and view reports about parking enforcement activity, including parking attendant sightings, ticket activity, and related map-based information.
Cheeky Parking is an information-sharing tool only. It is not a parking authority, traffic authority, legal adviser, or substitute for official parking information. Community reports may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, delayed, or out of date.
You remain fully responsible for your own parking decisions at all times. You must always check official parking signs, road markings, pay-and-display machines, digital parking systems, local authority notices, parking permits, controlled parking zone rules, and all applicable laws and regulations before parking. Where parking charges apply, you should purchase a valid parking ticket, permit, or parking session. You must not park illegally, dangerously, obstructively, or in breach of any applicable restrictions.
Cheeky Parking does not make any promise, guarantee, reservation, assurance, or representation that you will avoid a parking fine, penalty charge notice, towing, clamping, enforcement action, or any other consequence by using the app.

4. Legal bases for processing
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

5. Community reports and public content
Cheeky Parking is built around community-submitted information. Reports you submit may be shown to other users, including approximate location, time, report type, and any optional content you provide.
Reports are user-generated and may be inaccurate. We may moderate, remove, limit, expire, aggregate, anonymise, or display reports in different ways to improve safety, usefulness, and reliability.
You should not include personal data about other people in reports. In particular, do not intentionally submit:
- names or contact details of other people;
- photos focused on identifiable individuals;
- vehicle registration plates;
- private residential information;
- offensive, defamatory, threatening, or unlawful content; or
- anything that could put another person at risk.
6. Location data
Location data is used to support app features such as showing your position on the map, finding nearby reports, creating reports, scanning nearby activity, and sending location-based alerts where enabled.
We do not use the app to guarantee that a parking place is safe, legal, available, or free from enforcement. Location-based features are provided for convenience only.
